After dishing out such gems as Donnie Avery, Nate Washington, and BenJarvis Green-Ellis last week, I’m feeling another moment of zen and ready to bring you a couple of more highlights for fantasy football week 9.
Fantasy Football Week 9 Advice:
Gus Frerotte – Coming off a bye wee and playing a medium soft passing defense at home, should give this wire (home QB rating of 80 points) option a good week. I would look for him if you need to fill in for a bye week play or if you are still one of those hoping to the BJ will come around for the Cowboys. AP opens up the defense and he has been getting more confident running the offense, and he has thrown a TD in each of his last two home games.
Willie Parker – It looks like he may be returning this week so check your lineup if you have him and make sure to play him if he starts this week. There is no doubt that he will be getting a good amount of work as well as red zone carries.
Shaun Hill – You couldn’t do worse but take a chance on a prospect. He will be the starter when they return from their bye and having two weeks to prepare should help him step into the role comfortably. I think if you have a spot to add this guy there may be a chance he could be a big help down the stretch. This is just a hunch but with the weapons they have it wouldn’t be to hard to keep them moving.
Devin Hester – He has been getting more looks each week and playing the two second worst passing defense in the league should be just enough to make him a breakout playing this week, and not from running back kicks, but for receiving bombs. I think he will hook up on at least one TD and have a 100 yard game.
Steven Jackson / Antonio Pittman – I’m waiting to see if Jackson is able to go this week because Pittman filled in nicely last week for a huge game. If Jackson is not able to play this week I would be looking for Pittman to carry another 20 times with a TD. I’d keep an eye out for new on Jackson’s status and if you have a spot open bring in Pittman to make the switch in case he is not able to play.
