Week 9 Fantasy 911 Running Backs

There are some concerns growing for fantasy owners at the running back position in week 9. With 6 teams on the bye week and plenty of starters not practicing because of injuries, it’s leaving owners with little choices on who they can start at RB.  If you are in one of these situations for week 9, don’t worry, we’ve pulled out a couple of deep sleeper picks that just might cash in for you.  Let’s take a look at our week 9 Fantasy 911 running backs and see who is hurting this week and who’s ready to play.

Big name fantasy football running backs that are listed on the injury reports in week 9.

  • Marshawn Lynch – Didn’t practice early in the week, but has gotten it going and should be able to play.
  • CJ Spiller – Limited in practice, but as always should be able to go.
  • Deangelo Williams – Didn’t practice this week yet and is not looking good for week 9.
  • Demarco Murray – Full practice and ready to go.
  • Zac Stacy – Full practice and ready to go.
  • Willis Mcgahee – Didn’t practice on Thursday, but just for rest and should be a go for this week.
  • Arian Foster – Limited in practice and could be risky play, but should be able to go.

Some sleeper running backs that you could play in week 9 and get some decent points.

  • Danny Woodhead – He has a great match-up this week against the Redskins.  They give up the second most rushing touchdowns on the year and he is a big part of the offense. He could easily see 8 carries for 30 yards plus another 5 catches for 40 yards plus a touchdown.
  • Brandon Bolden – For deep leagues he could be a wise play this week. He’s been getting at least 5 carries per game for 5 straight weeks, plus he has scored touchdowns in the last two games straight.  He also caught at least one pass in each of those games so he is for sure going to get some points in week 9.   The Steelers run game isn’t what is used to be. They give up the 3rd most rushing touchdowns on the year and the 6th most rushing yards per game. This is a good match-up for him.
  • Shonn Greene – It looks like he is back into the mix now that he is healthy and could be inline for about 10 carries in week 9. For leagues that give points per carry, he could be a decent play as he’ll get some yards in the week 9 match-up.
  • Mike Tolbert – Touchdown Mike will be on display this weekend, especially if Wiliams is unable to go. He would be a decent play this week.  He doesn’t get a lot of yards, but his value is in touchdowns, as he already has 5 on the year.
