The first week of fantasy baseball is coming to a close and there are certainly some surprises as well as some old expected trends going on. The following is my week 1 fantasy baseball trends. One really big surprise and very sad is the passing of Angels Baseball pitcher Nick Adenhart. Since I reside in Anaheim, CA, this has been especially hard for me and some of the other members of this site and our hearts and prayers go out his family, the Angels, and all of the his fans around the world that his remarkable abilities have touched.
Baseball Batter that are starting out hot.
1. Brandon Inge – His bat has been hot right off the bat and is currently rank #1 in Yahoo Sports.
2. Jorge Cantu – Jump right out of the gate with some big homers and looks be in the zone.
3. Adam Lind - He already has 3 homers and is really hitting the ball well.
Baseball Pitchers that are starting out hot.
1. Derek Lowe – He’s racked up 11 innings with 10 k’s and 1 win already this season.
2. Josh Beckett - His 10 k’s in 7 innings means that is locked in at the start of the season.
3. Jonathan Broxton – His 2 saves in 2 innings is pretty good, but with 4 k’s and 0.00 era is almost like showing off.
