Fantasy Baseball Week 2 Trends
There have been quite a few surprises in baseball this year. Toronto’s hot start is quite unexpected and they are doing it on both sides of the ball. With some great young pitching in the form of Ricky Romero, and some hot bats like Aaron Hill, the Blue Jay’s are off to one of their best starts in franchise history. In addition, can anyone beat the Florida Marlins these days or should we just go ahead and give them the title now. With an 11-1 start they are by far the most surprising teams in baseball this year. They have been getting some good play across the field and in the batter’s box, and this young club will certainly be trying to make another run this year. The following are more fantasy baseball week 2 trends.
Baseball Hot Batters:
1. Ian Kinsler - This guy just seems to be getting better each week and each year. If this continues just start giving him the MVP now. In the last week he has compiled 2 home runs, 6 stolen bases, a 600 obp, and 9 runs scored. These are off the chart stats and if you have this gem in your lineup, then congrats on a good season.
2. Andre Either – 4 home runs, 12 runs batted in, I’d say he is seeing the ball well and is a big part of the Dodger offense, so if he is out there, get him now.
3. Carlos Quentin – 5 home run, 9 runs batted in and a 429 obp makes him one of the hottest players this week and it would be nice to see it continue more.
Baseball Hot Pictchers:
1. Zack Greinke – If he was on a dominate hitting team this guy would win the Cy. 14 innings, 19 k’s, 0.00 ERA, and of course 2 wins. The guy hadn’t given up a run for 3 straight starts so if he it out there, make sure to get him now.
2. Chad Billingsley - 13 innings with 17 k’s and 2 wins. This young kid is locked in and throwing some nasty stuff that is almost unhittable.
3. Ricky Romero – 15 innings, 1 win, 8 k’s, but an impressive 1.2 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP. This is his 3 start of his career and they have all been gems, so this guy could be the sleeper pick of the year and yes I’ve already added him to my roster.
