All too often in fantasy baseball, people go after the big names. While many big names can give great stats, there are smaller names who don’t stand out in any one category, but give a nice balance of stats across the board. These stats are often as valuable (if not more) as the stats put up by bigger names. Let’s look at some of these players. 
With the half way point quickly approaching, let’s take a look at some surprises so far this year, as well as some surprises to look out for. Fantasy baseball surprises come up all the time as players lose their jobs, new players gain jobs, and some players just get hot and cold. Adjustments have to be made to teams to stay competitive, but don’t react to hasty to every little report or injury to your team. A fantasy team’s chemistry is just as important with fantasy baseball as it is in the real world. There are times when owners just have to be confident that their players will turn it around and make the necessary moves to get back to where they are expected, but there are always surprises. 
Fantasy Baseball is starting to heat up, which means some fantasy baseball players are getting hot, and other fantasy baseball players are getting hurt. The following are some trends that could help your team as well as some players to watch out for in case you already have them.
Baseball is starting to heat up and that means fantasy baseball is heating up as well. The following are the fantasy baseball week 3 hot players. There are some big surprises to start the season in terms of overall teams. It’s nice to see the Royals sitting at the top of their division along with the Blue Jays in a tie for first with the Red Sox. Both teams are starting off really hot and they are showing some grit in terms of trying to maintain it. It will be great to see if they can hold on to their energy level and are able to sustain this type of effort for the entire season. 
There have been quite a few surprises in baseball this year. Toronto’s hot start is quite unexpected and they are doing it on both sides of the ball. With some great young pitching in the form of Ricky Romero, and some hot bats like Aaron Hill, the Blue Jay’s are off to one of their best starts in franchise history. In addition, can anyone beat the Florida Marlins these days or should we just go ahead and give them the title now. With an 11-1 start they are by far the most surprising teams in baseball this year. They have been getting some good play across the field and in the batter’s box, and this young club will certainly be trying to make another run this year. The first week of fantasy baseball is coming to a close and there are certainly some surprises as well as some old expected trends going on. The following is my week 1 fantasy baseball trends. One really big surprise and very sad is the passing of Angels Baseball pitcher Nick Adenhart. Since I reside in Anaheim, CA, this has been especially hard for me and some of the other members of this site and our hearts and prayers go out his family, the Angels, and all of the his fans around the world that his remarkable abilities have touched.
