Buy Tickets For A NFL Football Game

Posted by Commish On October - 21 - 2008

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a live NFL football game. It’s not that I wouldn’t buy tickets for a NFL football game. It’s not that I wouldn’t mind going either, but living in Orange County, CA limits my choices. I have to drive or fly 2 hours to see any NFL teams, and being as they are not local it takes some of the spirit out of rooting for them. We’ll break down some of the various fantasy football options, as well as the considerations for each one.  The reason is that depending on what points or stats the fantasy game is using, the players and teams can look quite differently. Read the rest of this entry »

The Hell with Fantasy Projections!

Posted by fantasygirl On October - 20 - 2008

The hell with projections.  I say TRUST YOUR GUT and YOUR BRAIN.  Projections are BS.  They are nothing more than a conglomeration of mathematical stats of the past, which can not predict the future.  There are many times when players had high or low projections and ended up with something different.  A computer can’t analyze a team’s passion or loss of morale.  It can’t predict possible injuries.  Moreover, it can’t compensate for unforeseen circumstances.  However, you can.  Read the rest of this entry »
