Fantasy baseball in 2010 has a couple of surprises to start the season and a couple of early season busts that are making owners contemplate dropping them for available starters. Although this may be a good thing for some teams, it’s not always the best case of the long run. Baseball is a sport of failure, and it owners have to be patient with their teams. Knowing that players will have hot and cold streaks from time to time, it’s best not to put to much on early season starts and if your player is on these list it doesn’t indicate that the season may continue in the same fashion. The Most Meaningful Fantasy Football Surprises
The 2009 fantasy football season has been a very interesting one through the first six weeks of the year. We’ve seen many breakout players that no one really expected, and we’ve definitely seen our share of busts as well. Today we’re going to focus on the overachievers of the fantasy football world and which are the most meaningful fantasy football surprises.

The Most Likely Fantasy Football Busts at Tight End
Kellen Winslow. eventually, the move to Tampa Bay to play with the Buccaneers ought to rejuvenate his career. In 2009, with so a bunch of uncertainty at the QB role, it’s probably sound to assume he won’t be generating stats similar to ’07. However, he ought to be a viable target for Byron Leftwich, in addition to a safety net for Josh Freeman (as soon as he’s prepared), so his catch total may be decent.
The following are more Fantasy Football Tight Ends that could be busts for fantasy football owners. Read the rest of this entry »
LT to miss Chargers’ home opener against Ravens
SAN DIEGO (AP)—LaDainian Tomlinson(notes) has been ruled out of the San Diego Chargers’ home opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday due to a sprained ankle, just the second time the star running back will miss a start due to injury in his brilliant nine-year career.
If you haven’t already, try to get Sproles. LT is an over rated has been. Running backs his size don’t last too long in the big leagues. If you drafted him like I did in round 1, just keep him in your back pocket for now.
Top 8 QBs for the NFL 2009 Fantasy Season
1. Drew Brees: Brees was simply the best quarterback in the NFL last year, and he’s a superstar. Especially when it comes to fantasy leagues. Brees had a handful of monster games last season, and it’s safe to say that this season should be no different. Bonus points when you factor in Colston’s return.
2. Tom Brady: I’d be tempted to put him at #1, but his rustiness could be an issue at the beginning of the season and it remains to be seen how well he’s recovered from injury. He’s looked strong in the preseason, but that’s no sure thing. Now that we’ve thrown out the risk factors, Brady is a fantasy stud and could easily be the best in football. Another Spoiled Football Player
Who didn’t predict this a mile away? I was certain that the instant your teammate and fellow crybaby, Jay Cutler, was traded you were going to throw a temper tantrum like a spoiled little child who couldn’t have ice cream. You must grow up!
Brandon, you encompass all the skill in the world and you are blowing it! How many idle Americans (myself included) would die for the insane amount of money you earn undeservedly. Read the rest of this entry »
Avoid Adrian Peterson, Take Michael Turner
If you are lucky enough to get the coveted first spot in your fantasy football league this year, take Turner. I know what you’re thinking. What about Adrian Peterson? He is sick. The guy is freakier than Paula Abdul in room full of young male singers. He’s got explosion, speed, and the necessary power to punch it in at the goal line. He is a stud. Fantasy Football Draft Research, Research Order Fantasy Football
This year I had the unique honor of drafting first in one league, as well as the unlucky honor of drafting last in one league. Normally this wouldn’t be that big of a deal and just a coincidence, but there is an added twist to this story that makes it great for using as a test case for fantasy football draft research and how it effects teams. It wasn’t just my team that had this coincidence this year, but FantasyGirl also plays in both leagues and had the exact same draft spots but in reverse leagues. The league I drafted first, she drafted last, and vice-versa in the other league. This makes for an interesting observation of how the fantasy football draft research can make or break your season before you’ve even had a chance to pick. Read the rest of this entry »

Plaxico Burress Shot In The Leg, Giants WR Options Week 13
It appears from reports on various sources that Plaxico Burress has been shot in the leg, and some reports are saying that in fact he shot himself by accident. He was already not going to play this week, but this should mean that he will be out for quit some time. Steve Smith is already picked up in most leagues but if not, he would be the first choice, along with Dominic Hixon. Both should see their roles and points continue to increase with Burress being out and Toomer being covered by the top corners. Read the rest of this entry »
Turkey? Nah, it’s an Eagle.
The Eagles are done. Drop McNabb, keep Westbrook as a secondary RB if you have him and start looking on your wires for another pick if you have the chance. Better yet, if you got some moron in your league, make the trade if your deadline is still open. Reid doesn’t give a damn anymore, and McNabb is an over rated has been. Westbrook is too banged up to be a solid consistent RB anymore. Read the rest of this entry »
Tony Romo Fantasy Football Advice: Romo or Thigpen
Here is some Tony Romo Fantasy Football advice. I have Tony Romo in one of my leagues, and like you, I have awaited his return with abated breath. However, as much as I wanted to start him, I decided to bench him for week 11. I played QB Kansas City Thigpen instead and I’ll tell you why. Read the rest of this entry »
