Baseball is starting to heat up and that means fantasy baseball is heating up as well.  The following are the fantasy baseball week 3 hot players.  There are some big surprises to start the season in terms of overall teams.  It’s nice to see the Royals sitting at the top of their division along with the Blue Jays in a tie for first with the Red Sox.  Both teams are starting off really hot and they are showing some grit in terms of trying to maintain it.  It will be great to see if they can  hold on to their energy level and are able to sustain this type of effort for the entire season.  Read the rest of this entry »

Fantasy Football Week 8: 5 Breakout Players

Every week in sports there are some breakout players that step up to the challenge and make the leap from back-up to starter, even if it for just one week.  These players can make your week if you know who they are and have the confidence to start them.  For example, I played Coach last week in a fantasy league, he had a couple of byes and ended up bringing in little known player named Donnie Avery.  Well Avery ended up having a great game with a TD and good receptions, and of course beat me by a couple of points.  Picking up Avery from the wire at the time seemed a little risky, but proved to be the right play.  Here are a couple of players that might be surprise hits for you team this week.
